Seasonal Clif Bars

DISCLAIMER: This post is based solely off personal preference and the opinions are all my own.

I will begin by saying that, personally, I generally prefer the texture of Clif bars to other high-cal, nutrient-dense bars; thus I had a good feeling about these guys right from the start. Still, that meant that they had high expectations, but they definitely did not disappoint.

Spiced Pumpkin Pie

I know this is coming from your average “white-girl” but THIS. IS. SO. GOOD. It almost makes me want to skip through a pile of leaves in Ugg boots. Almost.

Clif definitely did a great job in terms of the ingredient ratios because I usually find that anything with “pumpkin” and “spice” together tastes too artificial. That, or the “spice” part is overwhelming. This bar, however, had the perfect combination of both. Nothing was too overpowering, and, even if you gave it to me out of the wrapper, I would still be able to tell you that it was spiced pumpkin pie.

Iced Gingerbread

I wasn’t as impressed with this one as I was with the first. Don’t get me wrong, it was delicious, and I definitely recommend giving it a try if you love gingerbread.

It tasted exactly as I expected, and, as I mentioned before, my expectations were high. It didn’t blow me away, but it certainly didn’t disappoint. What can I say, I’m just not a huge gingerbread person.

In the end, Clif has amazed me with both of these seasonal bars, especially their spiced pumpkin pie! I will definitely be stocking up on these flavours before they leave the stores! I definitely recommend giving them both a try if you haven’t already.
