DIY Gifts on a Budget

I speak from experience when I say holiday shopping can be a traumatic experience. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love shopping for other people, but, with a tight wallet, it can be hard to find the perfect gift. But, where there is a will, there is a way! The way? Do It Yourself!

Here are some DIY ideas to ensure you don’t have to compromise on the perfect gift!

Patched Clothing

Patches are a huge trend this season. Instead of buying pre-patched clothing, why not order the patches separately to personalize a plain item of clothing?

Patches can be purchased on amazon for just a few dollars. Brandy Melville is also a great place for cheap patches.

Graphic Tees

Iron on transfer paper is another great way to personalize a piece of clothing. Graphic Tee’s will always look “cool”. DIY-ing  it saves money, and ensures that the gift receiver will absolutely love it!

Canvas Art

Who doesn’t love a one-of-a-kind piece of art. Canvases are a great gift because they are so personal. The beauty of art; everyone is an artist. Seriously, you can put anything on a canvas and call it art.

Using mixed media looks cool on any walls, but you can never go wrong with painting a favourite quote or splattering the canvas with the colours that match their space.

Canvases and a variety of mediums can be found at the dollar store!
