Now that the mornings are warmer, my usual breakfast has transformed from a warm bowl of oats to overnight oats. They are just as easy to make and takes even less time!
It’s also great to take on-the-go, which is perfect if you’re prone to hitting snooze one too many times.
All you need to do is prepare the oats in a sealable container the night before and leave it in the fridge. The dry ingredients will soak up the wet ingredients overnight, making it extra creamy! In the morning you can add whatever toppings you’d like.
Here is the base recipe that I use:
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1 TBSP chia seeds
- 1/2 cup milk or non-dairy milk
When I’m ready to eat it, I will add fresh fruit, nut butters, cinnamon, nuts and seeds, etc.
