Hello there!

My name is Alyse and I am a twenty one year old university student. Like most students, working part-time and paying rent, living a healthy lifestyle seems out of reach. However, I have learned that, with a little creativity and determination, that is not the case. This blog is where I will share my cost-friendly life with you. From recipes to fashion, I will prove to you, that even seemingly “broke” students can afford a fulfilling life.

After being diagnosed with depression, generalized anxiety disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder, I was losing in my battle with anorexia nervosa. I took a year off school and, in this year, spent five and a half months in the hospital where I learned what is truly important: health and happiness.

It took some time, but through Buddhism and a copious amount of self-help books, I have come to peace with myself. This, I believe, is the key to a fulfilling life. This blog is like a database of everything that contributes to what makes me happy, and, subsequently, healthy. Find what does this for you.

If you need a little guidance, I encourage you to browse my blog and leave a comment (or two, or ten). Find your passion and roll with it. Share it.

Stay happy, stay healthy.

Love, Alyse

  1. Hi Alyse,

I came across your blog today and had to reach out because I thought you would be perfect for our most recent project!  I’m Shannon and I work for Tommy John. It’s nice to “meet” you.

I’d love to chat about a blog idea I have for you so please shoot me an e-mail when you get a chance if you’re interested 🙂
